Kondwani (He/Him) is born and raised in Malawi, Kondwani holds a BA in Business Management and a Certificate in HIV Testing and Counselling. He works with Community Health Rights Advocacy (CHeRA), an organization that defends and advocates for the health and rights of the LGBTQA+ community in Malawi. Kondwani has joined ReportOUT as a Human Rights Researcher. He loves reading, enjoys music, and community volunteerism. Kondwani is also an SRHR, health, and Human Rights advocate for the Sexual and Gender Minority community.

Born in Portugal, Daniel (They/Them) holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations and is currently a master’s student in Peace, Security, and Development Studies at the University of Coimbra (Portugal). Being a junior researcher from Portugal, their areas of interest are critical studies, especially queer and feminist studies, on peace and violence, security, democracy, and human rights. As a ReportOUT Human Rights Researcher, they aim to promote, produce, and disseminate knowledge about LGBTQ+ communities and rights, as well as their increasing experiences of vulnerability and forms of resistance. Born in Nigeria and living in Nigeria. Samuel (He/Him) is an Events Officer at ReportOUT. After spending 3 years working in food processing companies as a factory staff, sales manager and general manager, also three years volunteering as a teacher of languages. Samuel brings a strong creative, problem solving, strategic and tactical training background to ReportOUT. He has a degree in BA (Hons) Linguistics. As well as this, he is also an LGBTQI+ Christian activist and has featured heavily on several social media platforms. Samuel enjoys chess, football, cooking, interpretation work, hiking and culture. He describes himself a gay man and as a cisgender male. He speaks Idoma (native), Hausa (native) English (fluent) and French (beginner)

Born in the warm heart of Africa, Malawi, Connex (He/Him) is a dedicated Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. With two years of experience as a Grants and Advocacy Officer for Ivy Foundation in Malawi, Connex brings research and advocacy skills set to ReportOUT's mission. He studied Journalism and Media Studies from The University of Malawi - The Polytechnic. Connex is an active human rights activist, having been featured in numerous YouTube podcasts where he passionately discusses issues related to LGBTIQ+ equality and justice. He is a transgender man who finds joy in football, video games, camping and various outdoor activities. Fluent in both English and Chichewa, Connex is committed to creating positive change and amplifying the voices of marginalised communities in Malawi and beyond.

Ryo (they/them) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. They were born in Japan and moved to the UK as a child. As an undergraduate student at Cambridge, they worked with ReportOUT to set up a university society affiliated with the charity. They are currently a Master's student in Philosophy at University of Edinburgh, specialising in philosophy of gender, and are leading a campaign on contraceptive reform in Scotland as Campaigns Director of CERT Scotland. They identify as lesbian and non-binary, and speak English and Japanese.

Born and raised in Argentina, Rocio (She/her) is a Communications Officer at ReportOUT. While pursuing her studies in International Relations, she is passionate about advocating for human rights, and therefore certified in various areas including LGBTQ+ community, child protection, climate change, and gender equality. She describes herself as bisexual and as a cisgender female. She speaks Spanish (native) and English (Advanced).

I am Taha (He/Him), Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT, you can call me "Atayist", as I love drinking Moroccan tea "Atay". I hold a bachelor in Sociology with research around cultural globalisation and social media, and how it transforms youth cultures and local cultures in North Morocco. Links between global and local relationships have became my main interest, as well as the resistance to them. I work on research projects with marginalised communities in my region. I am an activist, writer, and a nerd. Books and the world are my favourite topics to discuss.

Born in the United Kingdom, Izzy (she/her) is a Media and Communications Officer at ReportOUT. After spending four years reading Russian and Spanish at Durham University, Izzy brings a strong international communications awareness to ReportOUT. Izzy enjoys reading, walking her dogs, and gaming. She describes himself as bisexual and as a cisgender female. She speaks English (native), French (fluent), Spanish (fluent), and Russian (intermediate).

Prince (He/They) is a genderqueer Ghanaian living in Accra, Ghana. Their journey as a young LGBTQI+ activist is fuelled by a deep commitment to equality, social justice and human rights. They have a degree in Communications Studies from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. and a certification in graphic design, strategic communications, SOGIESC-campaigns, digital marketing and content creation. Prince aims to promote equity, diversity and inclusion of LGBTQI+ youth in policy-making and decision-making processes in Ghana. Their passion is to advocate for issues that affect the LGBTQI+ community, through a younger perspective, and to contribute to advancing their community's socioeconomic problems and human rights. Due to their eagerness and proficiency in activism, they co-founded a LGBTQI+ youth-led organization in Ghana. Prince has discovered the power and worth of their voice, and they strive to embody nobility, integrity, and commendable character in their work. Their work at ReportOUT as a Communications Officer is to grow the voice of the organisation through various communications channels, increase visibility, and reshape queer narratives worldwide.

Mark (he/him) has worked with ReportOUT for nearly three years. With ReportOUT, he has contributed to mapping and documenting sexual and gender minority rights in Albania, Ecuador, French Guiana and Peru. Mark was the Co-Lead Human Rights Researcher alongside Phil Thomas for the OUT in Mongolia project - they partnered with LGBT Centre Mongolia to document LGBTQI+ rights and experiences, representing the largest study of Mongolia's LGBTQI+ community. He graduated with an MA in Human Rights, in which he investigated the burden of proof placed upon sexual and gender minorities seeking asylum in the UK – exploring the hardship they face in proving that they are LGBTQI+, and in proving to adjudicators the threat of persecution in their nation state. He also has a BA in English, where he met his partner during a class about sonnets (yes – it is as lame as it sounds). Mark loves recharging in nature, travelling and attempting to befriend any dog and cat he encounters.

Born and living in Brazil, Arnaldo (He/Him) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. He has a degree in Law and International Relations, a specialisation in Human Rights Education and is studying an MA in International Relations focusing on Human Rights and the LGBTI+ agenda. As well as this, he is also an LGBTQI+ and human rights activist with history of activism in international institutions defending the rights of the community. Has represented the Brazilian delegation of youth Ambassadors of Internet Governance with the Brazilian Steering Committee of Internet Governance (CGI.BR), bringing the focus on diversity and inclusion of our community on the world wide web. Arnaldo enjoys cinema, gastronomy, music and travelling. He describes himself as homosexual and as a cisgender male, and speaks Portuguese (native), Spanish (fluent) and English (fluent).

Born in Sunderland, UK, Caitlin (she/her) joined ReportOUT in 2019 as a Human Rights Researcher and is now currently the Lead Volunteer for the Sustainable Development Goals Officers. She has a degree in BSc (Hons) Sociology, MSc in Inequality and Society and a postgraduate degree in education and training. Caitlin has a strong interest in international development and has published on the topic of heteronormativity within Agenda 2030 and how heteronormative discourse can be challenged and resisted to ensure no one is left behind.

Born in Australia and living in the U.K, Will (he/him) is the Internal Communications Officer at ReportOUT. Will brings a strong communications background to ReportOUT, with over 12 years experience in external and internal communications in various sectors, and currently is a volunteer Board Director at the Institute of Internal Communication. Additionally he has held leadership roles in several LGBT+ employee networks, driving engagement and policy change. Will is also a passionate volunteer, having volunteered at Young Professionals in Foreign Policy in Brussels, as well as leading internal communications and volunteer engagement in various roles at Pride in London. Will is a gay cisgender man and enjoys travelling and using his French when he can.

Lovemore (They/Them/Theirs) is not only a dedicated intersectional activist, but also an incredible advocate for SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights). With over 7 years of experience in SRHR advocacy and activism, Lovemore has made a significant impact in promoting awareness and fighting for the rights of marginalized communities. Their background in Management has provided them with valuable skills to effectively navigate the challenges of activism. One of Lovemore's notable achievements is the launch of the podcast "Queer Talk Africa" in 2020. Through this platform, Lovemore has been able to amplify the voices of queer activists from various parts of Africa, sparking important conversations and challenging societal norms. By changing the narratives surrounding queer identities in Africa, Lovemore is actively working towards a more inclusive and accepting society.

Chloe (she/her) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT from Yorkshire, UK. She has a degree in BSc (Hons) Psychology from Durham University and is currently studying an MSc in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, with an interest in the Sustainable Development Goals and the social determinants of health. As well as a ReportOUT volunteer and part-time student, she works in a Public Health team to address the systemic drivers of health inequities and barriers to health care access. In her free time, Chloe enjoys visiting friends, playing hockey, going for walks, and eating nice food.

Originally born in the USA, Riley (she/her) grew up in Germany and studied at university in the Netherlands and in Brazil. She recently completed her master's degree in Amsterdam where she developed her research skills. Now she lives in London and works for a national charity, and has begun volunteering with ReportOUT as a Human Rights Researcher. She enjoys knitting, cooking, hiking and exploring different cultures through travel.

David (He/Him) is an Events Officer and previously a Education and Training Officer at ReportOUT. Working in Higher Education predominantly within Widening Access and Participation and Student Recruitment sector, David has a passion for helping people from all backgrounds. David is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects. He has a degree in BA (Hons) Business and Financial Management, a PGCE PCET and a MSc in Inequality and Society. David enjoys reading, cinema and the theatre. He identifies as Gay.

Ochieng is a Human Rights Researcher, and currently the CEO and founder of Ochieng Oginga and Company Advocates practicing law in Kenya, the East African Court of Justice and the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights. He is an author in Constitutional Law, and Human Rights and a Certified Sexual Identities and Gender Minority Rights; Disability Rights; Social, Economic & Cultural Practitioner, certified by the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria South Africa and the University of Nairobi. He is currently a Master of Law Candidate at the University of East London, United Kingdom. Other than being a volunteer at ReportOUT, he is also a pro bono lawyer for the Thompson Reuters TrustLaw Foundation, a pro bono Counsel in the Roster for the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights; and a volunteer pro bono Lawyer for NextGEN Lawyers, Kenya, and Equality Now Organization, Kenya.

Born in Iran and living in the UK, Mana (She/Her) is an Education and Training Officer at ReportOUT. Having Studied Health Psychology (Masters of Science) and Inequality and Society (Masters of Science), she has got a strong background in understanding hardships members of the LGBTQ community endure both mentally and socially. She has also engages in activism for the Iranian LGBTQ community through different organizations including 6Rang (Iranian Lesbian and Transgender Network). Mana enjoys cycling, movie analysis and learning about different cultures through their cuisine. She describes herself as a lesbian and a cisgender female. She speaks Persian (native) and English (Fluent).

Ross (He/Him) studied International Development for his undergraduate degree (B.A), followed by a Master's (M.A) in Human Rights, both at the University of Sussex, U.K. He focused on global LGBTQ+ rights throughout both degrees, completing field research in Malawi and Ethiopia respectively. He also won academic awards for both his B.A. and M.A theses. Ross went on to work in the Global LGBTQ+ Rights sector for almost 10 years. This included roles such as Advisor on the Rapid Response Fund at Frontline AIDS (providing emergency support to LGBTQ+ CSOs in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean); Head of Global Programmes at Stonewall; and as Chair of the UK Alliance for Global Equality for three years. However, two years ago he left the sector to follow his love of words and is now a freelance writer. Ross identifies as a cisgender gay man whose passions include travel, history, and hiking (especially when all three are combined :)

Born in Kenya and an asylum seeker in Zambia, Larry (They/Them) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. After spending five years working as a man in a travel company and also being an entrepreneur, Larry brings management and research skills to ReportOUT. They have a degree in Business Management. Larry loves football, travelling, learning new languages and garnering for the rights of transgender people and the LGBTQIA community at large. They describe themselves as transgender man. From Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sofía (she/her) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Gender Studies and Policies. Sofía has been an activist for social justice and equality for more than 10 years. She speaks Spanish, English, Italian, and (a little bit of) Portuguese.

Winnie is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, who has for the past five years been living and practicing law in Nairobi, Kenya. Currently serving as a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT, she channels her passion for human rights into meaningful work. Throughout her career, Winnie has accumulated significant experience practicing human rights law across various courts in the country. Furthermore, holding certification as a mediator, she is proficient in alternative dispute resolution techniques. Winnie's approach combines her legal expertise with mediation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. She is deeply committed to finding creative, fair, and effective solutions, delivering the highest quality of legal service, research, and advice. Outside of work, Winnie enjoys baking, hiking, and watching documentaries. Her hobbies provide her with relaxation and inspiration, enriching her perspective and fueling her dedication to her professional endeavors. Winnie's work is driven by a fervent belief in justice and equality.

I’m Sonya, a learning technologist who’s worked in UK Higher Education since 2008, coming to the profession via technical support roles in other public sector areas. Since 2014 I’ve been with the University of Sunderland’s CELT, responsible for managing a team of content developers and teaching on our PG Cert HE. Martins (He/Him), Is an advanced communications person in advocacy media, first response LGBT contact person, event organizer and emerging culture writer based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is currently an Events Officer at ReportOUT and brings his expert skills and organising and catering to African multi-disadvantaged sexual minorities and LGBT people in the diaspora. In 2022, he joined Queercity Media as a comms officer and he advanced to Head of Communications. For three years consecutively, (2022,2023,2024) he has served on the planning committee of the heavily featured Pride In Lagos Festival. He enjoys the news, Nollywood, politics, socio political and feminist discussions. He describes himself as a Pansexual and cisgender Nigerian male. He is a native speaker of Igbo, Yoruba, English, Nigerian Pidgin and beginner's French.

Born in the US and living in the UK, Jess (she/her) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. She has a BA in International Studies with a focus on global health and human rights as well as an MA in Human Rights with a focus in bioterrorism. Professionally, she enjoys learning about different cultures, studying different diseases, and learning how to help communities around the world. In her spare time, she enjoys playing video games, reading, and spending time outside. She describes herself as a cisgendered woman and speaks English (native) and French (intermediate).

Becca (she/her) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. She has ten years experience working and volunteering in the social sector and brings strong foundational knowledge in strengthening civil society and social movements to the organisation. She has an MA in Social Anthropology, a postgraduate diploma in Social Innovation Management and an LLM in Transitional Justice and Conflict where she was awarded the Deans Prize in honour of Professor Chandra Sriram. She has written for other charitable organisations, particularly on women's rights and access to just treatment. She enjoys drawing, walking and music.

Originally from North East England, Josh (he/him) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. Having studied English Literature and International Studies at Durham and Sorbonne universities at undergraduate level, he now works for the Department for Media, Culture, and Sport after time working in Westminster. He is due to begin an MSc in International Public Policy at UCL in September 2024 before seeking work in NGOs or charities. He has extensive volunteering experience and has also written many articles on a variety of subjects whilst studying. He enjoys sports, languages, and literature. He speaks English (native) and French (Upper-intermediate).

Born in California and living in Colorado, James is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. After spending eleven years in education as a special education teacher and administrator, James brings a strong understanding of education policy, best teaching practices, and disability activism. He has his BA in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley, his MS in Education from Johns Hopkins, and completing his EdD in Education Leadership and Policy from University of Denver. James has completed several research projects pertaining to disability activism and inclusive public funding to support LGBTQ+ youth in US public schools. His research has been recognized at several education conferences both within the US and internationally. In 2023, James set up a grassroots advocacy group that advocates for the inclusive funding of public funds to support historically underserved communities. James enjoys traveling, trying new foods, music, and getting outside. He describes himself as queer and speaks English (fluently), but dabbles in Chinese and Spanish.

Alia, originally from South Africa, but now living in Georgia (the country) is an Events Officer at ReportOUT. She has spent the last decade as an English teacher to people of all ages. In 2019, she founded and became the director of 'L*Events', an organisation that work with the FLINTA* community and aims to improve social, emotional and physical well-being of community members. She has her BA in Classics and Psychology as well as a myriad of other certifications ranging from Project Management to TEFL. Alia enjoys spending time with animals and making ceramic artwork that has a political undertone. She identifies as a queer cisgender woman. She speaks English as her first language and a bit of Georgian and Afrikaans.

Hagin (They/Them) is a Human right defender with interest in sexual and gender minorities. They are currently serving as a Programs Director at Gumzo, a community based organisation based in Bungoma-Kenya. With over 7 years experience, they have trained and have expert knowledge in (pls) post legislative scrutiny and holistic strategic litigation. They believe in a society where everyone is respected and appreciated.

Soph (they/them) is an Events Officer at ReportOUT, residing in the North East of England. After completing their BSc (Hons) Psychology degree, they volunteered with ReportOUT in Summer 2020 before continuing on to graduate in MSc Inequality and Society. Since then, they have been working in events at the University of Sunderland, deciding in 2024 to apply this knowledge and their lived experience as a non-binary individual in their return to ReportOUT. They were previously active on the Instagram account @trans_donations where they collected donations from the public to be distributed to a number of transgender and non-binary individuals' transition fundraisers. Soph enjoys reading, gaming and educating others on SOGIESC inequalities. They describe themselves as non-binary, queer and asexual. They speak English (native) and Spanish (beginner).

Born and living in Vietnam, Nhan (he/him) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT. Prior to joining ReportOUT, Nhan spent six years working as a local reporter for a UK-based non-profit organisation. In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, he became keenly aware of the healthcare disparities and economic inequalities experienced by the transgender community across the globe. Consequently, he went back to school to equip himself with the knowledge and skills needed to help advocate for the betterment of transgender people’s lives. At present, Nhan is a part-time Master of Research student at the University of Winchester. His research areas focus on mental health issues and healthcare accessibility of LGBTIQ+ people in Southeast Asia. Besides volunteering at ReportOUT, Nhan is a co-founder and manager of Gender Galaxy, an online information hub for transgender and gender diverse people in Vietnam. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his three dogs and spending time with his family. He identifies as a bisexual transgender man and speaks Vietnamese (native) and English (fluent).

Soufiane (They/He) is a Human Rights Researcher at ReportOUT as well as a freelance journalist. He obtained a degree in BA Media and Communication, and he is studying for an MA in Political and Social Communication. He volunteered in a Moroccan Human Rights NGO for three years. Soufiane is also a social activist, highly motivated to work on topics related to human rights, minorities, migration, public health, the environment, and peace promotion. He strongly believes that "change is a matter of awareness." He enjoys dancing, traveling, photography, and painting. He describes himself as a queer and non-binary person. He speaks Darija (native), Arabic (bilingual), English (fluent), French (fluent), Spanish (beginner), and Portuguese (beginner).

Raised in Germany and now based in the UK, Becky (she/her) has been volunteering as a Media and Communications Officer at ReportOUT for over 3 years. Starting as a Social Media manager, she has since branched out into email communications and even worked on a video advert! Bringing multilingual communication skills from her BA in Modern Foreign Languages, as well as a wealth of digital skills. Becky also has a career in the Skincare and Beauty Industry and spends her free time doing sports, seeing live music and reading

Born in Italy, Flaminia currently resides in Denmark. She is an Event Officer at ReportOUT. She holds a MA in International Cooperation for Human Rights and Cultural Heritage, enriching the ReportOUT Events Team with her focus on cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and intersectionality. Balancing a full-time job in an organisation dedicated to promoting active lifestyles and the human right to move, Flaminia is committed to equality, social justice, and human rights. She is an activist for queer rights, and also engages in various projects that advocate for youth rights and sustainability. A naturally curious individual, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and exploring a wide range of topics—she's a big fan of lists! Committed to advancing queer rights in the sports sector, Flaminia identifies as a bisexual cisgender female and speaks multiple languages: her native Italian, fluent English, French, and Spanish, along with beginner German and Danish.
